West Virginia police are trying to reconstruct the accident that took the life of a passenger one recent afternoon. Apparently, the driver of a vehicle carrying four passengers took a curve too fast and lost control of the vehicle. The impact of the collision decimated the first vehicle and resulted in the death at the scene of one back-seat passenger.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. However, the driver of the first vehicle and two of his passengers all reportedly suffered catastrophic injuries. Medical helicopters transported some of the accident victims to nearby trauma centers for treatment.
Police have not yet determined whether alcohol, distraction or other negligent actions contributed to the driver’s loss of control.
